I was there for a short vacation in October and I visited an inland area which is famous for its karst landscape. I am sure I can meet some Gesneriad plants in such habitat. In fact I just followed the paved path to look around the area and it's easy to find special plants along the path as this place still remains natural view although it's a tourist spot. Soon I saw a lot of purple flowers on the ground while I walked further. The flowers belong to Microchirita, but I can't tell the species name.
There are so many purple flowers as this Microchirita seems it has seized this place for a long time. It grows well no matter under full sunlight or under shaded place. I presume that I'm lucky as I can always see lovely plants during my journey. And it is indeed a beautiful encounter with this Microchirita in Krabi !
