Columnea raymondii is truely a stunning Gesneriad ! I love Columnea family because the slim hanging branch can carry many large flowers with bright color such like the orange, yellow or red. Columnea is very showy, especially when they are in bloom. Good for hanging basket.

Kohleria Empress

This plant is grown over years without re-potting. It's an elegant Kohleria , maybe that's why it was named "Empress". Koleria perfers light and fertilizer , easy to grow :)

I got some new seedlings of Mini-Sinningia which are ready to bloom. Although I don't know how they will look like , but at least the plant is cute with flat and compact foliage which can offer a good base to show off the blooms.

Nematanthus brasiliensis

What a stunning Nematanthus species is !!! I have this plant started from a seed , and I grow it about 3 years so far. It's very tall , around 70~80cm , I can't stand it anymore. :) Fortunately the yellow flower is large , too. :) The outstanding sepal with fantastic brown-red looks like a fancy fake art.

Some new seedings in bloom. The first one is Blueberry Butterfly's hybrid , looks like the pollen parents a lot. The second one was made by Crystal Ice , but it gets same flower size as Crystal Ice (too small for me) , the color is common as well.

Chirita subrhomboidea

Many Chirita species bloom easily in spring , and it seems some of the most beautiful species will have better flower quality for the first buds in spring. Chirita subrhomboidea has pretty lavender-blue color and large flower which make it a very important specie in recent hybridization of modern Chirita.

Chirita tamiana

This is a very cute and small Chirita. A good bloomer in all seasons , and easily get self-pollened. When the seeds are ripe , they will spread and germinate without any additional help ... then you will have many new young plants. :)
