The Kohleria flowers are adorable. I'm trying to cross them, and I just sowed my first seed , waiting and looking forward to what's going on next.

Sinn. Pirate's Bulgaria Rose
This named Sinningia is also the self-pollination offspring of "Pirate's Smoky Eye" but it got bigger flower shape in diameter and pink color. As you can see the mother plant isn't reddish or pinkish appearance, so this Pirate's Bulgaria Rose can show that "Pirate's Smoky Eye" is capable to give pinkish inheritance when using it in hybridization. The color seems to the famous perfume roses of Bulgaria, therefore I called it "Pirate's Bulgaria Rose". Good bloomer and compact foliage. Courtesy of Mr. Ader who has taken that nice shot with black background.

Sinn. Pirate's Panguno Rakaso
The birth of Pirate's Panguno Rakaso gives a new color presentation of my mini-Sinningia collection. Dark purple dots on white with lavender thumbprint. The lavender thumbprint will disappear during hot weather as you can see the difference between both photos. The aboriginal name "Panguno Rakaso" means the "mountain quartz" which refers to the snowy peak of highest mountain in Taiwan.

Sinn. Pirate's Berry Tart
Last year I meant to do some "RED" mini-Sinningias, and there are some "RED" offsprings since the early of 2009. I have this selection from the similar seedlings. This Pirate's Berry Tart is truly raspberry color or even brighter and also a good bloomer. (Courtesy of Mr. Little Stone who grows this nice plant for photography)

Sinn. Pirate's Glacier Wind
I am really into making cross between miniature Sinningias, but sometimes I try the self-pollination on specific grower. Self-pollination is a good experience to know how the inheritance of your Sinningia can be. Check this "Pirate's Glacier Wind" which is one of self-pollination of "Pirate's Smoky Eye", it keeps the lavender upper petals and white lower petals but the patch on the throat is different-marked. A new style as you can see. :) (Courtesy of Mr. Little Stone who grows this nice plant for photography)
