Thumbprint Violets

A very unique flower type of african violet, thumbprint touched on the petals ... always difficult to predict what the blooms will be. When the thumbprint is deeper color, it requires even more necessary conditions to perform the correct blooms. Comparison to the chimera, the thumprint is bigger challenge due to the color variation is so unpredictable.

dots .... many dots, big or micro dots ... lot of dots , this is why the Kohleria fascinates the Gesneriad growers. Wondering if any biologic research had been announced to explain why Kohleria blooms with dots ?  :-)
