Kohleria in Bloom

Spring is coming ... Kohleria is blooming.  To avoid the huge Kohlerias, I did not pay full attention to the Kohleria last year due to I have to move the plants to new greenhouse in March 2011. Now thing's done, hopefully they will be happy in the new place. :-)

Season of Mini-Sinningia

I recently moved my Gesneriads to a new place, they may take a while to adapt themselves to the new climate.  I extended the dormancy of Mini-Sinningias by no watering until I finished the move. But my Mini-Sinningias in my balcony keep the same tempo and start to bloom.

flower with long life span, ± 2.8cm in diameter
able to bloom simultaneously per different layers of axil
pointed and serrated foliage
silver-green with dark green veining
10 inches height in a 4 inches pot
upright, a compact to medium cultivar
