Pot the tuber of mini-sinningia

Just some comments for reference.

- use fine and well-mixed medium (perlite/peat mixed is recommended, can add other fine medium)
- 2 inches pot is enough for starting the new sprouts of the tuber
- fully water the tuber and the medium to make them completely combine together.
- don't let the medium dry out as the new sprouts require moisture.

Kohleria "Norrsken"

A swedish hybrid with nice blooms that can last very long time. The color got difference between high and low temperature. Have to pay much attention to grow this species for its potential.

Final mini-sinningia dance before summer

The sun light is getting stronger and the temp. is raising too high ... have to let the mini-sinningias go to semi-dormancy by not giving too much water or fertilizer in the hot summer days. We can recall the best show that they have performed early this year. :)

This bright rosy color is pleasing to the eye ..... a medium size cultivar,the flowers and the foliage are well balanced.

Sinn. "Pirate's Skyline"

A cool color for the coming hot summer.  These are the last blooms, they show the best color of this miniature Sinningia because of blooming under the right temperature.

Sinn. "Pirate's Damask"

A cross between miniature Sinningia and eumorpha hybrid, this cultivar has bigger leaves and florwer than the miniature Sinningia but not tall as the eumorpha type hybrid.

A tall type Sinningia speciosa , really special :-)

Kohleria "Designer's Star Shimmer"

deep orange-red tube, no pollen
red dots spead on the orange-red petals and yellow center
records of more than 3 buds per leaf axil so far
flower with long life span, ± 2.5cm in diameter
able to bloom from young starter
long, pointed and serrated foliage, the stem is a bit slim
dark-green with nice silver spread covered on the leaves
10 inches height in a 4 inches pot
upright, a small to compact cultivar
