Smithiantha remains

Since it's a cool spring, the flowers remain in good condition. I have received a few inquiries about the purchase of rhizomes, but I am not sure what will be the harvest. The sale will be happened as long as the rhizomes are qualified.

Sinn. Dale's Violet Pearls

Miniature Sinningia ... it has been a long time that I did not pay attention to my mini Sinningia. It's a new episode since I was given this interesting foreign plant. It is Dale's Violet Pearls. I was advised that Dale would like to see how will it perform based on Taiwanese way of growing mini Sinningia. This plant was put in mixture soil (peat/perlite) in 2 inches pot. The pot was settled on the water tray for continuous water supply like I usually do. As for the fertilizer, I just offered a few Hi-Control S-101 after the sprout thrived. I got the tuber in around the Thanksgiving 2018, it took about 100 days from sprout to flower during winter time in Taiwan.

Lazy early spring

It has been a while without updating this blog, being lazy is an acceptable excuse.  XD

Although I was lazy for a while but my flowers are not. Look ... they bloom for the early cold spring and they are gorgeous.

Large VS Small

The hybrid work of Smithiantha here in Taiwan results in the improvement of the blooming appearance. No matter the large plant or small plant, they all look good in their way.

The season of Smithiantha

Although I did not open sale, I still received many purchase requests of Smithiantha in the past year, then I just know many people are looking for this beautiful houseplant. Sorry for not keeping enough rhizomes as I'm not doing commercial planting/propagation. I love to promote Smithiantha and I hope the people who like it are able to get the plants they like. I don't keep any plant as limited treasure because the plant shows its value only if it's cultivated by the public.

Aeschynanthus from the public flower market

I bought this plant a few months ago in the local flower market, it may be a hybrid. The flowers are coming soon. The good thing is the small leaves that make it a neat and compact hanging plant.
