Calyx Double Sinningia

I have the advantage to see many calyx double Sinningia seedlings around my planting areas because friends grow a lot of them. It's good that I can take this chance to observe the seedlings without paying growing efforts.  XD

As the folk said the calyx double sinningia can only be the pollen parents, therefore all the seed parents are standard Sinningias. As there are many crosses, so the color is brilliant in variation. Roughly 30% seedlings are calyx double. After selection, hopefully to see some new and well-grown specimen of calyx double Sinningias.

Sinn. speciosa "Regina" - São Fidelis

I grow this "Regina" type over 2 years, it blooms for the first time in June 2013. The foliage has the best shape and color when the new shot starts, then the shape changes before it blooms. It could be a very good resource for creating variegated series of Sinningia speciosa.

Happy Episcia

The past weeks were hot, over 35 degrees Celsius outside in the day time (at the same time over 39 degrees Celsius inside the planting area due to greenhouse effect) and usually this is the normal situation in our summer. All I need to do is to provide shade to certain plants during this period. Episcia totally conforms the heat under shade, they expand greatly and look like the weed in summer.

Sinn. Stone's Sonia

A selected seedling of the cross made by Mini Sinn. and Sinn. tubiflora ... this cross created many good clones with good advantages such as floriferous, tough plant, long-lasting flower and accommodating to hot weather condition ... etc.

Aeschynanthus obconicus

Found it as hanging basket plant in a flower shop in Malaysia, Aeschynanthus obconicus seems a common house plant there. The flower is cute and I usually can't resist the red color. :-)
