Tenway Garden

Tenway Garden is a garden cafe located in central Taiwan. I heard there is a show room for violets all year round and I went to visit it this weekend. The blooming violets are placed in an air-conditioned room and they look good. It's not easy to see their beautiful color in summer because the temperature is usually 35~38 degree Celsius. The show room is an oasis and the violets and I are happy with the cool air.

Violet ~ Flash Point

A friend gave me this well-developed plant last week ... because I'm pretty into the fantasy pattern of the violets. I has a few violets and do not mean to grow them carefully due to my growing area is not qualified for violets.

Thumbprint Violets

A very unique flower type of african violet, thumbprint touched on the petals ... always difficult to predict what the blooms will be. When the thumbprint is deeper color, it requires even more necessary conditions to perform the correct blooms. Comparison to the chimera, the thumprint is bigger challenge due to the color variation is so unpredictable.

Saintpaulia pendura var. kirazae

Just review my photos in the past years and find this violet, S. pendura var. kirazae ... geeee ... I think I'll never do it the same and I have no patience to make it this way again. XD

Maybe I'm too picky but this trailer violet is absolutely easy to grow, just remember to water and fertilize it. :-)

Several years ago, I collected many violets. Personally I think the violets are perfect house plants that combining the nice foliage and flowers. I still grow violets but much less than before as I don't have time to take care of them. :-)

Rare to see a violet similar to Louisiana Lullabye, when it blooms at right time under good growing condition, breathless .....

Saintpaulia ionantha

Single blue-violet, 4-5 per peduncle, very floriferous. Dark green, pointed, heart-shaped, tends to spoon, thick, quilted, glossy, slightly serrated, long red-brown petiole/red back. Large.

A frilled violet, it looks like chimera this time.

Saintpaulia rupicola

A species of African Violet, an easy bloomer. The name "rupicola" derives from the Latin rupe (cliff) + cola (dweller) in recognition of the terrain to which it is indigenous. Multi-crowned standard or bushy trailer.
