Sinn. richii "Robson Lopes"

First bloom of my yellow richii ..... really yellow , no ?  It also comes with fragrance, not strong but I can smell it in different times within a day.

Sinn. "Stone's Nieves"

This hybrid between mini-sinn. and tubiflora is impressed. The color tends to tubiflora but the foliage is much compact than tubiflora. This one successfully combines the good characters of its parents, unfortunately the scent is not so sure as some say yes , some say no smell. :)  The name "Nieves" is a Spanish name which means "the snow". Courtesy to Mr. Stone, the owner of this pretty Sinningia.

Sinn. speciosa (Hybrid)

In the new planting house, I have some space for the speciosa type Sinningia, so I started to put them in bigger pot and now they are blooming. :)

Pot the tuber of mini-sinningia

Just some comments for reference.

- use fine and well-mixed medium (perlite/peat mixed is recommended, can add other fine medium)
- 2 inches pot is enough for starting the new sprouts of the tuber
- fully water the tuber and the medium to make them completely combine together.
- don't let the medium dry out as the new sprouts require moisture.

Kohleria "Norrsken"

A swedish hybrid with nice blooms that can last very long time. The color got difference between high and low temperature. Have to pay much attention to grow this species for its potential.

Final mini-sinningia dance before summer

The sun light is getting stronger and the temp. is raising too high ... have to let the mini-sinningias go to semi-dormancy by not giving too much water or fertilizer in the hot summer days. We can recall the best show that they have performed early this year. :)
