Primulina linearifolia x fimbrisepala

These lavender flowers reveal the approaching spring punctually. Season by season, all my growing schedules follow the tempo of nature and respond it properly.

The background is the miniature sinningia that I just re-potted them in new soil for meeting the blooming season in April and May. This is what I did every year for best quality blooms

Nice hybrid from Japan

Easy to grow and bloom

  1. Nice primulina hybrid. I have cross my albino fimbrisepata with a nearly white linearifolia last year. Hopefully I will have a pure white Primulina hybrid similar to this one ~ Can't wait to see it blooms ~

  2. Good to know, it must be interesting to get white Primulina hybrid as the pretty fimbrisepata doesn't accommodate heat in my place, a bit hard to grow.

    1. Yes you are right ~ fimbrisepala is also quite big in size and take up a lot of space. Breeding with linearifolia can reduce plant size quite significantly. It can be seen in my breed Avery's Pink Yammie ( linearifolia x purpurera ) while the plant is only the size of a linearifolia ~ very compact for indoor growing ~

    2. Yeah .... neat and compact is good for those people who have limited space. Avery's Pink Yammie seems a delicated version of Primulina Kazu to me.
