  2. Hi, You should try Taiwanese varieties that we spent time to improve the blooming characters and the neat foliage of miniature Sinningia. :) Never been in Romania but I suggest that you should let the sinnigia have a short dormancy in winter and just wake them up in the warm spring. Although the Sinningia grows all year around here in Taiwan, I still force them to go to dormancy in summer (too hot) and winter (too cold). This is to save energy of the tuber and avoid the insect pest. In Romania, I assume the moderate season to grow Sinningia is spring to autumn.

  3. Hi, I would love to grow Taiwanese sinningias but where should I buy them from ?
My sinningia Lisa was looking tired and I reduce watering, then stoped watering, remove the tuber from the pot, clean it and let it out for one day, then place it in a bag with some vermiculite.I noticed the tuber shrinked from one day to another and I 'm afraid it might become dry and die. What shall I do ? Sorry for asking but I do not know how to deal with mini sinningia tubers and here are not so many experienced growers to give me some advices.
You are right about growing period in my country's climate, the best for them is from spring to autumn.

  4. Hi, as we all are not commercial growers, no q'ty to sell, but properly you can find some from Dave's Violet in the US or eBay or doing exchange with Taiwan or HK's growers.

Regarding your Sinn. Lisa, keep it under moisture to avoid dry out. You can pot it again and if it doesn't recover, then let it go. :-) I also have many dead tubers, so it's common experience.
