This lovely cutie thrives over years, it just blooms as usual in this spring. The full bloom happened in March 2013 but this year the full bloom postpones a month. I think it's because we have a longer winter which held back the sprouts.
Sinn. Jung's Orange Zest = Sinn. reitzii x Sinn. bullata This seedling is about 2 years old, it carries 5 new sprouts at the same time because the tuber is big. The former sprout grows tall now but with flowers continually. It accommodates the summer heat and cold snap here, did not go to dormancy all year round. I should say it's an easy plant. I discussed this seedling with WUF, the person who did this cross. He showed me another seedling which has red flower. Totally different from the orange one I have. So there must be else color/pattern that we can expect from other seedlings of this cross.
I learned Bahasa since 1 month ago, I try to write it as it's not difficult and if you find errors, please feel free to let me know for making correction. Practicing language is a must :-) Saya pergi ke Bukit Bandera di Penang pada akhir maret.
I'm happy to see the buds carried by new sprouts of mini sinn. before they flower. It's a good moment to check who will be the mega bloomer in spring and what's the characters of their flowering potential.
This is an old HCY's Kohleria but still a good plant for garden. It could be a bit tall and carries a lot of flowers per leaf axil. The name "Sevillana" is a folk music and dance from Sevilla region in Spain. My plant grows freely on the ground with Viola banksii, I don't need to take care of it at all, I like it to be independent. XD
