Found in central Peninsular Malaysia at elevation around 1200M, the habitat of Ridleyandra morganii is the cool and shade hillside that usually keeps all the moisture. It grows like a ground cover, some even stay at the bole of a tree in the evergreen tropical forest due to the high humidity. The population I saw thrives along the way to Gunung Berembun ... very easy to see them while you trek in the forest. I believe Ridleyandra morganii is one of the most charming Gesneriad plants in terms of the foliage and the flower. All the photos were taken from the plants in situ.
